Multilingual transcription that doesn't fall apart
Get started freeA lot of the world talks in more than one language at once: Hindi and English in the same sentence, a call that starts in Spanish and ends in English. Lynkk transcribes 17 languages plus auto-detect, with Hinglish as the default, and labels who said what.
Hinglish by default
Hinglish mode listens for Hindi and English together, so a sentence that switches halfway through stays one sentence in the transcript.
Two engines, one transcript
Lynkk runs two transcription providers. If one has an outage, the recording goes to the other on its own, so a bad moment on one side does not cost you the meeting.
17 languages
English, Hindi, Hinglish, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic and Russian, plus Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bengali in beta. Or let it detect the language.
How it works
You choose a language once and every recording uses it. Here is what happens to a meeting from there.
- Open Settings, then Transcription, and pick Hinglish, Auto-detect, or one of the 17 languages. Hinglish is already selected on a new account.
- Record the way you like: the meeting bot, the Mac app, the Chrome extension or the browser.
- When the recording is uploaded, Lynkk sends it to its transcription provider with your language setting and speaker labels turned on.
- The transcript comes back split by speaker, and Lynkk writes the summary, action items and decisions from it.
- The finished note is searchable by meaning or exact words, in the language it was spoken.
Hinglish, auto-detect or one language
Each setting suits a different kind of call. Hinglish expects Hindi and English together and handles the switching. Auto-detect works out the main language of a recording, which suits a team whose calls are each in one language but not always the same one. Picking a single language tells the engine exactly what to expect, which is the best choice when every call is in that language.
Speaker-aware across languages
Speaker labels work in every language, so action items and decisions are attributed to the right person even when the room is multilingual. When the meeting bot records a call, Lynkk matches the labels to the names the meeting itself shows. On the Mac app your own voice is recorded on its own channel and labelled You.
What to expect, and the limits
Clear audio gives the best transcript in any language. A few things are worth knowing before you rely on it.
- Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bengali are in beta, so expect more mistakes than in the other languages.
- Auto-detect picks the main language of the recording. For Hindi and English mixed inside sentences, choose Hinglish instead.
- Rare names and product terms can come out spelled the way they sound. The dictionary in Settings helps dictation on the Mac, not meeting transcripts.
- Each recording can run up to 2 hours.
- Transcription runs in the cloud, so the Mac app keeps recording through a dropped connection and uploads when you are back online.
Which plan includes it
Multilingual transcription is part of Pro, which is $15 a month. Pro also adds unlimited notes and AI summaries, Ask Lynkk across every meeting, meeting video from the bot, the decision log and the weekly digest. The free plan gives you 5 notes a month and 5 hours of AI meeting summaries, so you can try Lynkk on real calls first.

For Hindi and English, yes. That is what Hinglish mode is for, and it is the default. For other pairs, pick the main language of the call or use auto-detect, which works out the main language of the recording.
Yes. Change it in Settings, under Transcription, at any time. New recordings use the new setting.
Yes. One setting covers every recording on your account: the meeting bot, the Mac app, the Chrome extension and the browser. Recordings you made before a change keep the language they were transcribed in.
If people mix Hindi and English, keep Hinglish. If each call is in one language but it changes from call to call, use auto-detect. If every call is in one language, pick that language for the most accurate transcript.
Yes. Every transcript is split by speaker. Bot recordings use the names shown in the meeting, and the Mac app labels your own voice as You.
Transcription happens in the cloud. The Mac app keeps recording if your connection drops and uploads the recording when you are back online; the transcript follows.
