Lynkk vs Granola: a Granola alternative for in-person and multilingual meetings
Granola is an AI notepad. You type rough notes during a call, it listens through your computer's audio, and afterwards it fills your notes out from the transcript. No bot joins the call, and Granola does not keep the audio.
Lynkk records the call itself. The Mac app and the Chrome extension record with no bot, and a bot can join Zoom, Google Meet and Teams when you would rather not be the one recording. Each recording becomes a transcript, a summary and a list of action items, and the audio stays with the note.

Where Granola is the better pick
You like to type your own notes
Granola is built around the notes you write during the call. It keeps your words, adds detail from the transcript, and shows which line each point came from. Lynkk writes the summary for you and does not start from your own notes.
You need Windows or a phone
Granola runs on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. Lynkk's app is Mac only (Apple silicon), there is no phone app, and on Windows you would use Lynkk in the browser or through the Chrome extension.
You want more languages
Granola lists 31 languages on desktop, including Marathi and Urdu, against Lynkk's 17 plus Hinglish. If your calls run in a language outside Lynkk's list, Granola covers more ground.
You want chat and integrations on the free plan
Granola's free plan includes chat over your last 30 days of meetings and a Slack integration, and its paid plan adds Notion, HubSpot, Attio, Affinity and Zapier. Asking across meetings is a Pro feature in Lynkk, and Lynkk does not connect to those tools.
Where Lynkk is the better pick
You want the recording, not only the notes
Lynkk keeps the audio with every note. Click a timestamp in the summary or the transcript and it plays from that moment, so you can hear how something was said. On Pro, the meeting bot can record the video too.
Some calls need a bot
When you are late, double-booked or not attending, Lynkk's bot can join the Zoom, Meet or Teams call for you. Connect Google Calendar and turn on auto-join, and it goes to your scheduled meetings without being asked.
Recording should start without you
The Mac app notices calls in Zoom, Teams, Slack huddles, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Webex and Meet in your browser, and offers to record. You can set it to record on its own. It stops by itself when the call ends.
Action items belong in Jira
Every action item comes with an owner and a due date when one was said, and lands on one task board across your meetings. Send them to Jira from the note, one issue per item, with no Zapier in between.

Switching
Switching from Granola
Lynkk cannot import notes from Granola, and you cannot upload old recordings to it. Granola never kept the audio, so your history moves as text. Export it from Granola first.
What comes with you
Your calls. The Mac app records the same Zoom, Meet and Teams calls with no bot, and nothing new appears in the meeting.
Your calendar. Connect Google Calendar and the bot can join scheduled meetings for you.
Your Slack workspace. Install Lynkk for Slack and ask @Lynkk about your meetings there.
Your Jira projects. Connect Jira once, then send action items from any note.
What stays behind
Past notes and transcripts. Granola can email you a CSV of your full history from Settings, Profile.
Your own typed notes. Lynkk writes its summary from the recording, so the habit of typing during the call has no place to go.
Integrations Lynkk does not have, such as Notion, HubSpot, Attio, Affinity and Zapier.
Links you shared from Granola. Lynkk notes get their own share links, which you can turn off.
Frequently asked questions
Is Lynkk a good Granola alternative?
It is if you want the recording kept, a bot for some calls, or action items in Jira. If you mostly want an AI notepad that builds on what you type, on Windows or your phone, Granola is likely the better fit.
Do both record without a bot?
Yes. Granola listens to your computer's audio. Lynkk's Mac app and Chrome extension do the same, with your mic and the call on two channels so your side is labelled You. Lynkk also has a bot, for the calls where you want one.
Does Lynkk keep the audio?
Yes. The recording stays with the note, and every timestamp in the summary and transcript plays from that moment. Granola uses the audio for the transcript and does not keep it.
Can I chat with all my meetings in Lynkk?
Yes, on Pro. Ask Lynkk answers from all your notes and cites the note and the minute each part came from. It can also book a calendar event, mark a task done or create a Jira issue, each one after you confirm.
Does Lynkk work on Windows or my phone?
Not as an app. The Mac app needs Apple silicon, and there is no phone app. On Windows, use the web app and the Chrome extension in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc, or send the bot.
Can I bring my Granola notes into Lynkk?
No. Lynkk has no import. Export your history from Granola as a CSV and keep it, and start recording new calls in Lynkk.
